Back in 1995, I put up my first “personal home page” on the World Wide Web. Hosted for free a GeoPages (later renamed to GeoCities), my “Al’s Place” site had pages dedicated to various interests, including Iowa’s Adventureland. In those early years of the World Wide Web, there was only one other Adventureland fan page on the internet – Mike’s Adventureland Pages. Though Mike’s site is long-gone (I did run into him on YouTube some years ago), the last version of my site is still online (just at a different location):

You can visit the Internet Archive to find earlier copies of the original site, but they only have it back to 1999.
In 1996, I purchased my first digital camera (an Epson PhotoPC) and began taking photos at Adventureland (and other places I visited). Today, you can find the largest collection of organized (sorted by year and category) Adventureland photos anywhere on the internet – currently over 20,000 Adventureland photos:

Although I haven’t updated it in years, I also have a dedicated Adventureland Blog:
https://adventureland.parkhopping.com
…and Adventureland History Wiki that documents ever ride, show, shop and food location (up until I stopped updating it):

I invite you to step back in time and “come on over” to the Adventureland of the past.
