Wow. I visited Valley West Mall today. WHO 13’s Brett Bachtle was there, documenting some of the final days anyone will see what is left of this once-thriving shopping center.
By my count, the only places left where:
- Blaze Pizza – business as normal.
- A tailor – in the process of moving out. I believe Mr. Bachtle may have said they were there since the mall opened.
- A watch repair shop.
- JC Penney – though most of the door gates were closed.
There were maybe a dozen other people in the mall. It was very spooky.
Get by and see it SOON if you want to say goodbye. This is it folks.
